Georgia National Guard Apache Troop 1/108 Cavalry Ball

On Friday Sr. Vice Commander James Watson joined Lt.Col. Scott G. Jackals and Command Sgt. Major Jason D. York at the 1st/108thCavalry Ball held at the Marriott in Buckhead. The unit is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in the very near future, in support of the 3rd Infantry Division mission there. The 1/108 Cav. Is responsible conducting reconnaissance and surveillance supporting the development of the brigade's situational awareness and knowledge in the area of operations. The Officers, NCO’s and troops will be leaving their respective unit homes in route to Fort Bliss, Texas training center soon. Apache Troop, of Cedartown, Ga. is one the adopted of our VFW Post.
